Latex membrane
Latex vacuum membrane for pressing leather, fabrics, and flexible composite materials.

What is a latex membrane?
This high-elasticity latex membrane is used in vacuum forming and pressing processes for woodworking, automotive components, and composite layups. Thanks to its natural latex elasticity, the membrane follows shaped parts closely and distributes vacuum pressure evenly across the working surface. Manufactured from natural latex with a hardness of 43 Shore A, the membrane combines elongation of up to 650% with tear strength of 30 N/mm. The 1 mm thickness supports precise forming on detailed parts, while the smooth caramel-colored surface provides stable contact with veneers, curved panels, molded components, and composite assemblies. It operates reliably from -40 to 80 ºC and is supplied in a 1400 mm width. Using the membrane helps improve forming accuracy, reduce surface defects, and maintain consistent results in vacuum pressing workflows. A textured surface finish can also be specified on request.
