What is a textured silicone membrane?

This textured silicone membrane is used in heated vacuum forming, thermoforming, and sublimation applications for Solid Surface, thermoplastics, composite materials, and sublimation substrates. The textured finish on one side supports air evacuation between the membrane and the workpiece, helping reduce trapped air and improve pressure distribution on complex shapes. Manufactured from high-temperature silicone with a hardness of 50 Shore A, the membrane combines elongation of up to 750% with a working temperature of up to 250 ºC. The 2 mm thickness provides precise forming, reliable contact, and durability during repeated hot pressing cycles. The blue surface makes the membrane easy to identify in production environments and distinguish from smooth silicone membranes. Using the membrane helps improve forming consistency, surface quality, and process reliability when heat, vacuum pressure, and air evacuation are critical.
